These plants are great if you are looking to introduce some striking colours into your space. These are low-light tolerant but really thrive in a bright spot. Once established these plants become quite tolerant of dry conditions due to the rhizome they form under the soil. Water once the top 1/3 of soil has dried out.
At night the leaves of these plants will stand up on end and then come down to catch the light during the day. Keep this plant away from dry moving air.
